eUSD implements strict access & admin controls both on- and off-chain.

From developer and end-user point of view, eUSD is extremely easy to use and understand as it is a standard ERC20 with a few extra properties. For most uses, you can consider eUSD like any other ERC20. eUSD also supports EIP-2612 Permit Extension for EIP-20 Signed Approvals.

Addresses may be assigned the BLOCKEDROLE ("Blocked Role"), a role preventing them from receiving or sending eUSD to other addresses. The role also disables their ability to burn or mint eUSD. Assigning and removing the Blocked Roles is the responsibility of BLOCKLISTERROLE ("Blocker"), a role controlled by Membrane Finance ("Membrane").

The USD e-money is currently available for production and testnet use on the blockchains listed below. Further support for more blockchains is planned.

eUSD is a US dollar stablecoin (electronic money token) issued by Membrane Finance Oy, an electronic money institution regulated in Finland. eUSD is a fully backed electronic money token supervised by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority.

The USD e-money contract may be paused under extraordinary or force majeure circumstances.

eUSD smart contracts are developed by Membrane Finance in close collaboration with Equilibrium. In addition to thorough internal testing and auditing, all of our production code is audited by third-parties.

Developers can get eUSD for testing purposes on testnets from faucets. Please note that the withdrawable amount and withdraw frequencies have been limited on some chains to ensure a good developer experience for everyone. If the faucet is empty, please notify us.
